Excellence in Healthcare honoured by Alexandria – Frost & Sullivan

A glimpse of the awards night...

The third edition of the India Healthcare Excellence Awards 2011 concluded with an awards night on Thursday, 22^nd September 2011 at JW Marriott, Mumbai. An audience of nearly 350 guests applauded the winners at this year’s awards ceremony. The evening was a great opportunity for the Healthcare community to recognise the hard work and innovation of local businesses.

While it is widely accepted that Indian healthcare requires significant attention in the international market, the Alexandria-Frost & Sullivan India Healthcare Excellence Awards 2011, which are now in their third year, exist to recognise this need and to broaden awareness of the efforts that are taking place to transform the provision of healthcare globally.

An independent panel of judges from the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical technologies, healthcare delivery, healthcare it and private equity sectors deliberated the findings of the analyst team and decided on the most deserving award recipients. The final list of recipients was announced and honored on 22^nd September.

To mark the occasion, also announced at the event were two special awards Frost & Sullivan’s Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr B Soma Raju, Chairman, Care Hospitals and Frost & Sullivan Healthcare Entrepreneur of the Year to Dr Naresh Trehan, Chairman, Medanta – The Medicity.
